Girls' hockey: open house on September 13 and registration now open

The new girls' hockey season in Verdun is taking shape, with two important items to note for 2026-2027.

Open house

A girls' hockey open house will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Auditorium de Verdun. It is open to girls in the U7 to U18 age groups, whether they are complete beginners or already playing. It's a great chance to discover girls' hockey and meet other players.

Equipment will be loaned free of charge. Girls who do not have their own equipment should arrive at 9 a.m. to allow time to pick it up and get ready.

Details on how to sign up for the open house will be shared soon.

2026-2027 registration

Registration for the 2026-2027 season is now open: Register | AHM de Verdun

Two girls' categories are officially open:

• U9 Girls — players born in 2018 or 2019
• U12 Girls — players born in 2015, 2016 or 2017

At Hockey Québec's request, all girls' teams are now grouped under the Franchise Warriors organization. Parents of U9G and U12G players must therefore email Marie-Josée Bélair (Mjbelair@hockeylsl.ca) directly with their daughter's full name and date of birth. She will unlock the registration in Spordle.

For players in the other age groups (U7, U15, U18), please register them in the mixed category matching their birth year. Whether girls' teams can be formed will be assessed based on the number of registrations.

Register your daughter now — the sooner we know how many players are interested, the sooner we can assess the feasibility of forming girls' teams.
